Park Your Paws

Dog Wellness

Your Dog’s Best Day should be part of their Best Life

At Park Your Paws we don’t mess around when it comes to Dog Wellness, including Dog Grooming. Our dogs are part of our families too, and creating a healthy, long life is not only good for them, but it’s good for us all.

Wellness comes first, and it is the most important aspect of our business. We are guided by an urge to be the strongest advocates for each and every member of our pack. Sometimes that is an easy task, but sometimes, such as when we need to turn a dog away from daycare when it’s not right for them, it comes at a cost to our business. That’s OK with us.

Wellness comes in many forms… grooming, nutrition & exercise, or recommended behavioral training. We want to provide our pack with whatever they need while in our care. In some cases, we employ the experts, and in others, we partner with the best local experts we can find to ensure we offer nothing but the highest quality wellness services.

Get Your Groom On

Dog Grooming is about way more than just looks. From a wellness perspective, grooming is about being hygienic and maintaining your pup’s bodily defenses. The coat of a dog, the pads of the feet, their nails, and their tear ducts all serve physiological purposes that contribute to their overall health.

Dog Groomers use any appointment as an opportunity to clean up matting, remove obstructions, and clean dirt and grime from your fur baby’s body to make sure that everything functions as intended with full range of movment.

We partner with Jen’s Nose to Tail so that we can serve our clients with the best dog groomers in the industry.

They also smell nice and look great!

A Snapshot of Dog Wellness

Wellness is a relatively new term in the world of pet care, and it can cause some confusion. But we are aiming to change that.

Defining wellness isn’t a single thing, but rather a set of ideas that exist in support of the overall well-being of our most beloved furry family members.

You can read more on our Wellness philosophy elsewhere, but here’s a snapshot.

We view wellness through the lenses of:

  • The physical well-being of the dog through hygienic acts such as bathing, grooming, and tooth & nail care.

  • Active well-being of each animal through exercise, nutrition, and energy redirection.

  • Emotional well-being through socialization, engagement, and connection.
